The goal: Help the moon find its rhythm so Moonlight Gardens can rest, play and bloom again.
Your child’s part: Your child notices what bodies need, sorts busy moments from calm ones and puts the garden’s scrambled routines back in order. As they do, the night flowers open again and the Moonlight Festival can go ahead.
Balance is knowing what your body and feelings need, whether that’s rest, play, a snack or a calm moment, and building routines that help.
Just gentle ideas to help you choose.
The story goal: Help the moon find its rhythm so Moonlight Gardens can rest, play and bloom again.

Luna says: “Oh! The Feeling Pond shows what's going on inside you. Still water means calm. Little ripples mean a bit busy. Big splashes mean very busy.”Luna
Luna zooms down to the pond and lands on a flat stone. Wobble, wobble, she nearly falls in.
She picks up a pebble and drops it. Plop! Rings of ripples spread across the water. Then Luna sees her own reflection. Her feathers are sticking up. Her eyes are very round. The water around her is splashing all by itself.
First, a choice: 3 options
On the printed page: Circle the pond that is like you, then circle what Luna tries.
By the end they have: Pond check card; Pond check added to the toolbox.
You will need: The pond page · A crayon or pencil
Smaller step if needed: Just point to a pond for Luna today, and look at your own another time.
The grown-up’s part: Do a pond check yourself first, out loud and honestly. If your child picks splashy, simply say Thanks for telling me.
Do a pond check at breakfast and again at bedtime, and tell your grown-up still, rippling or splashy each time.
What it practises: Practise noticing how your body feels inside right now, using three pond pictures: still, rippling or splashy.
Word for word from Mission 1 of the draft The Balance Garden for ages 5-6. The edition is not yet approved, so wording may change, and the mission’s own illustrations are still to come.
Six missions in each chapter. Finishing a chapter lights up a new star on the map, on paper and on screen.

Reflection, Movement, Drawing, Story choices, Memory game.
Short missions, drawing, simple puzzles, role-play, real-world challenges. About 10-15 min (a few up to 20) per mission. Optional read-aloud narration. Grown-up role: guided play, growing independence.
The same mission plays on paper or on screen with the same answer. This is how each activity type changes between the two formats.
