The goal: Help the moon find its rhythm so Moonlight Gardens can rest, play and bloom again.
Your child’s part: Your child notices what bodies need, sorts busy moments from calm ones and puts the garden’s scrambled routines back in order. As they do, the night flowers open again and the Moonlight Festival can go ahead.
Balance is knowing what your body and feelings need, whether that’s rest, play, a snack or a calm moment, and building routines that help.
Just gentle ideas to help you choose.
The story goal: Help the moon find its rhythm so Moonlight Gardens can rest, play and bloom again.

Luna says: “Hoo-hoo! Look. When I feel zoomy, my pond goes splishy splashy.”Luna
Here is Feeling Pond. It is round and dark and shiny.
Luna has zoomed about all night. Zoom, zoom, zoom! Now she sits on a rock. She drops a pebble in the pond. Plop! Ripples go round and round.
First, a choice: 2 options
On the printed page: Point to a pond picture.
By the end they have: Pond card pointed at; Still or splashy? added to Luna's moves.
You will need: The two pond pictures on this page
Smaller step if needed: Your child points to a pond; the grown-up does the hoot or the yawn.
The grown-up’s part: Read slowly with a big Plop! Do the hoot and the yawn yourself first. Neither pond is better; both are just how a body feels. Five-minute version: one pond, one move, done.
At breakfast and again at bath time, point to the still pond or the splashy pond on your pond card with your grown-up.
What it practises: Practise noticing how your body feels right now, still or splashy, and choosing a move to wake up or wind down.
