Your choice: The Balance Garden · Future Leaders (ages 9-10) · printable PDF + online adventure
This edition is still being written, illustrated and tested. We only sell an edition once all 30 missions are finished in both formats.
Also part of Choose Any 3 ($74.99) and the Complete Collection ($184.99), each for one age level.
The goal: Help the moon find its rhythm so Moonlight Gardens can rest, play and bloom again.
Your child’s part: Your child notices what bodies need, sorts busy moments from calm ones and puts the garden’s scrambled routines back in order. As they do, the night flowers open again and the Moonlight Festival can go ahead.
Balance is knowing what your body and feelings need, whether that’s rest, play, a snack or a calm moment, and building routines that help.
Just gentle ideas to help you choose.
The story goal: Help the moon find its rhythm so Moonlight Gardens can rest, play and bloom again.

Luna says: “So the plan is that I feel like a firework at dusk and a damp sock at midnight, and I lead both meetings. Brilliant.”Luna
The Feeling Pond is perfectly flat until Luna sits down beside it. Then the surface starts to slop against the pebbles as if someone has kicked it.
"It does that," says Vesper, hanging upside down from the willow. "The pond copies whoever is next to it. It has been copying you for three nights now, and it is exhausted."
The story continues in the mission.
First, a choice: 4 options
On the printed page: Tick a choice for each of Luna's ponds, then fill in your own two pond checks.
By the end they have: Two pond checks and an action for each.
You will need: Pencil and paper (optional)
Smaller step if needed: Do one status check today and save the second for tomorrow.
The grown-up’s part: Ask about the pond, not about behaviour. If they say splashy, that is information, not a confession.
Do a status check before school and again after school on the same day, and note each pond word on any scrap of paper.
What it practises: Practise checking your own state (still, rippling or splashy) at two different times of day and choosing an action that fits each one.
Word for word from Mission 1 of the draft The Balance Garden for ages 9-10. The edition is not yet approved, so wording may change, and the mission’s own illustrations are still to come.
Six missions in each chapter. Finishing a chapter lights up a new star on the map, on paper and on screen.

Reflection, Movement, Drawing, Story choices, Memory game.
Planning, reflection, social scenarios, goal setting, independent online play. About 15-25 min (a few up to 30) per mission. Independent reading. Grown-up role: self-directed, parent checks in.
The same mission plays on paper or on screen with the same answer. This is how each activity type changes between the two formats.
