The goal: Relight the great campfire so the camp in Campfire Hills can stay open together.
Your child’s part: Your child decides how to join in, share, take turns and sort out a fall-out fairly. Each thing the camp remembers brings back an ember, until the campers sit round the fire together again.
Friendship and teamwork mean joining in, sharing a goal, taking turns and repairing things when a disagreement happens.
Just gentle ideas to help you choose.
The story goal: Relight the great campfire so the camp in Campfire Hills can stay open together.

Bo says: “Peekaboo, new camper! Where are you?”Bo
Hello Hill is busy, busy, busy. Tents. Flags. Campers running everywhere.
Bo spots a stripy tail behind a tent. "A new camper!" He runs over for a big hug. Oops. He hugs the tent pole instead. Wobble, wobble, wobble!
The new camper is hiding. Where is she?
First, a choice: 3 options
On the printed page: Point to a hiding place, then point to Ivy's face.
By the end they have: Ivy found and her feeling face copied.
You will need: The busy Hello Hill picture on this page
Smaller step if needed: Your grown-up points to two hiding places; you choose which one to peek at.
The grown-up’s part: Read the peekaboo lines with a big pause before each reveal. If your child names a feeling different from yours, accept it.
At the park or playgroup, look together for someone playing on their own and tell your grown-up quietly.
What it practises: Practise noticing someone who is new or on their own, and looking at their face to see how they feel.
