The goal: Relight the paper lanterns of the Whispering Woods so every animal can get home after dark.
Your child’s part: Your child decides which small brave step to take next, from a footprint trail to a rope bridge. Each step they choose makes a lantern glow, so the evening paths open again and the Lantern Festival can happen.
Courage is trying something unfamiliar while still feeling a bit nervous. It’s not about having no fear, it’s about taking small, safe steps anyway.
Just gentle ideas to help you choose.
The story goal: Relight the paper lanterns of the Whispering Woods so every animal can get home after dark.

Finn says: “This is exactly what I didn't want you to see on day one.”Finn
The gate at the edge of the Whispering Woods is taller than it looked from the road. Behind it, the path disappears into shadow. Finn has his lantern in one paw and his compass badge polished, and he is completely ready.
Then his tail starts to wobble. Not a lot at first. Then a lot.
Finn tries to hold it still with his other paw. That makes him drop the lantern. He picks it up, sighs, and sits down on a stump.
First, a choice: 4 options

Smaller step if needed: Mark just one place on Finn's outline today.
The grown-up’s part: Be a curious fellow detective, not an interviewer. If they choose the made-up explorer, that is a full answer.
Tell a grown-up about one wobbly moment from this week and where your body felt it, or describe a made-up one.
What it practises: Practise noticing where nervousness shows up in the body and how strong it is, using a three-size key.
